Welcome Students,
I'm excited to welcome all of you to our spring semester. I am confident that it's going to be six weeks of learning, sharing, growing, and succeeding. Although it is a short semester, I know that we'll accomplish great things in Room 5240! All I ask from each of you is your determination and desire to do so. I always tell my students that this is just a beginning for you. It may be a new job you hope to find, a promotion in a current job you hope to attain, or a move to higher education as you prepare for a new chapter in your life. Whatever your reason for being in our class, make the most of this time. You've taken the first initial and, perhaps, most difficult step. Now that you've registered, find that motivation. Is it the goal of finding gainful employment, getting the promotion you know you deserve, or a chance to embark on a career you've dreamed of? I thank you for allowing me to be part of this exciting journey, and I hope my determination to see you succeed matches yours!
Now I'm going to ask a small favor of you. Please tell me and your fellow classmates a little about yourself. It doesn't have to be a long essay.....just a few sentences. What are your goals, both short term and long range? What do you plan on doing to ensure that those goals are reached?
You may also tell us a little about yourself. Hobbies? Watching sports? Are you crafty? Artistic or musical? Just tell us what you're comfortable sharing. Remember, this need be only a few sentences. We'll get to know each other in person next week.
Again, I welcome you to my class. Please know that I believe that we must support one another. We may have little else in common, but we do share a desire to attain our diplomas. I'm expecting great things in Rm. 5240!!!!!
